This Refund Policy outlines our practices regarding refunds, subscription cancellation, and billing for Gift Buddy services. It applies to all purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Gift Buddy's core features are available for free, including: - Creating and managing gift wishlists - Following other users - Gift fulfillment tracking - Profile management - All social features Free features do not require payment and are not subject to this refund policy.
Gift Buddy Premium is available as a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription plans may include: - Monthly subscription - Semi-annual subscription - Annual subscription All prices are displayed before purchase and include applicable taxes. Specific features included in Premium plans are described in the app and on our pricing page.
- Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase - Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date - Cancellation must occur at least 24 hours before the current period ends - If a free trial is offered, the unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time: - iOS: Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Gift Buddy → Cancel Subscription - Android: Go to Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Gift Buddy → Cancel Subscription Important: - Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the period expires. - No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period. - Deleting the Gift Buddy app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your app store account settings.
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your subscription purchase. By subscribing, you consent to immediate delivery of digital content. You may still exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days by: - Requesting a refund through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store - Contacting us at app.gift.buddy@gmail.com with your transaction details Refunds under the right of withdrawal will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of approval.
If one-time in-app purchases are available: - Digital content purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered - Refund requests for in-app purchases should be submitted through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store - Exceptions may be made for purchases where the content was not delivered or was defective
Refunds may be considered in the following cases: - Technical issues that prevent you from accessing premium features you paid for - Unauthorized charges on your account - Duplicate charges for the same subscription period - Failure to deliver the purchased digital content - Within 14 days of purchase for EU consumers (right of withdrawal) Refunds will not be issued for: - Change of mind after the right of withdrawal period has expired - Lack of use during an active subscription period - Features that were clearly described before purchase - Service interruptions due to your device, network, or third-party issues
To request a refund: 1. Through the App Store: - Apple: Open the App Store → Tap your profile → Purchase History → Find the charge → Report a Problem - Google: Open Google Play → Menu → Account → Purchase History → Find the charge → Request a Refund 2. By contacting us directly: - Email app.gift.buddy@gmail.com with your account email, transaction ID, purchase date, and reason for the refund request Please submit refund requests as soon as possible after the issue arises.
- App store refunds are processed according to Apple's or Google's respective refund policies and timelines - Refunds requested directly through Gift Buddy will be reviewed within 5 business days - Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days - You will receive an email confirmation when your refund is processed
