All 20 Gift Buddy Achievements and How to Unlock Them

Gift Buddy Team

Gift Buddy has twenty achievements, drawn as seals in four rarities. Every one has a single criterion, and your three rarest show on your profile for friends to see. This is the complete list with the exact rule for every seal, plus the few things achievements deliberately do not do. If you want the points side of the system first, start with Gift Karma: points, levels and streaks.

Four rarities, four seals

Every achievement is drawn as a seal, the kind pressed into wax on an envelope, and the rarity decides how it looks:

  • Common: an outlined seal in slate. Most people earn these in their first weeks.
  • Rare: a filled seal in moss green. These take a season of regular use.
  • Epic: a filled seal in the app's violet. A year of giving, or something unusual.
  • Legendary: a clay seal with a double rim and a slow shimmer. There are two, and both take a very long time.

Locked seals sit in the grid as faint outlines with a progress count underneath, such as 3/10, so you always know how far away the next one is. The shimmer on a legendary seal respects your device's reduced-motion setting.

New seals arrive on a sheet the moment the criterion is met, one sheet for all seals unlocked at once.

Wishing: gifts you add to your lists

Four seals count the gifts you have created, across all your wishlists.

Seal Rarity Criterion
First Wish Common Create your first gift
Wishful Thinker Common Create 10 gifts
Dream Big Rare Create 50 gifts
Gift Guru Epic Create 100 gifts

Two more look at what those gifts are:

Seal Rarity Criterion
Category Explorer Rare Gifts in 10 different categories
High Roller Epic One gift priced at 500 USD or more, in any currency

High Roller uses a fixed table per currency rather than a live exchange rate, so the bar does not move with the market: 500 dollars, 450 euros, 400 pounds, 20,000 hryvnias, 2,000 zlotys, and similar thresholds for the other currencies the app supports.

Giving: gifts you fulfill for others

These count gifts marked done where you were the giver, either as the person who claimed it or as a confirmed participant in a group gift.

Seal Rarity Criterion
Good Samaritan Common Fulfill your first gift
Generous Soul Common Fulfill 5 gifts
Gift Hero Rare Fulfill 25 gifts
Santa Mode Legendary Fulfill 100 gifts

Santa Mode is one of the two legendary seals. A hundred fulfilled gifts is years of birthdays for most people, which is the point: it marks someone who gives constantly, not someone who had one busy December. Group gifts count for every confirmed participant, so preparing a gift together moves all of you towards it.

Social: who you follow and who follows you

Seal Rarity Criterion
Social Butterfly Common Follow 10 people
Popular Common 10 followers
Influencer Rare 50 followers

Followers are counted among active accounts only. A follower who deletes their account stops counting, though a seal you already have stays.

Streaks: days in a row

Seal Rarity Criterion
Consistent Common A 7-day streak
Dedicated Rare A 30-day streak
Unstoppable Legendary A 100-day streak

A streak is consecutive days on which you opened the app, counted in your own time zone. The seals look at your longest streak, so a streak you have since broken still counts if it reached the mark. Unstoppable is the other legendary seal: a hundred days without a gap.

Profile, early adopters and subscribers

Seal Rarity Criterion
Profile Perfectionist Common Every profile field filled, including your phone number
Early Adopter Epic Account created before 2027
Supporter Rare Any paid plan
Patron Epic The Evergreen plan

Profile Perfectionist is the common seal people miss most often, because the phone number is the field everyone skips. It also lets friends find you from their contacts, so it is worth filling in for its own sake.

Early Adopter has a deadline. It goes to every account created before the first of January 2027, Kyiv time, and after that it can never be earned again. It is the only seal in the list that you can miss by waiting.

Supporter and Patron unlock as soon as you are on the matching plan. If the subscription ends, the seal stays.

Which three your friends see

Your profile shows the three rarest seals you own, newest first among seals of the same rarity. The full grid, with locked seals and progress counts, is yours alone in the Karma hub. So a friend opening your profile might see Early Adopter, Gift Hero and Consistent, and nothing about the rest of your grid.

What achievements do not do

A few boundaries, so the system stays honest:

  • They do not pay Karma. Points come from actions, and the Karma rulebook has the full table. Seals are a record, not a currency.
  • They are never taken away. Delete gifts, lose followers, let a plan lapse: the seals you have stay.
  • Only two follow a plan. Supporter and Patron come with a paid plan and say so; the other eighteen can only be earned.
  • Your history counted. When achievements launched, we evaluated every account against all twenty rules, so what you did before launch unlocked the matching seals on day one.

Where to see them

Open the Profile tab, tap Karma, and the grid sits right under your streak. Tap any seal, locked or not, to read its criterion and your progress towards it. New seals announce themselves with a sheet in the app and a notification if you have them on.

One seal has a clock

Nineteen of the twenty will wait for you. Early Adopter will not: it needs an account that exists before 2027. If you have been meaning to set one up, that is the reason to do it this year. Then add a wish and fulfill one gift, and with Early Adopter that is three seals already yours.

Gift Buddy is free to start on iPhone. The Android version is in testing.
